Hi to all,
I love teaching. I especially LOVE teaching comedy. It is my passion. I love watching people grow and develop their comedy writing and speaking skills. There are sometimes tears along the way which very quickly turn to tears of laughter.
I feel extraordinarily privileged and lucky to have this passion.
While all the essential services and workers are keeping our communities safe, we are all being asked to stay on the couch, and for me it has been challenging. But at the same time it has awakened my creative process and survival instincts!
Covid-19 is devastating, but it has also shown how communities become stronger when they work together.
Even though there is no money coming in, the desire to teach is still prevalent. Using laughter in times such as these, helps us cope with things that cause anxiety. Humour is well recognised as being a valuable mechanism at the core of human wellness, and we would love to shine a light as a community and embrace that which feeds the human spirit.

Pi Society and Maggie (Comedy Matters) are offering a new and unique chance to do just this; a virtual dating experience called,
All Comedy Matters gigs have gone for now, and we as a community are self-isolating at home and lacking the social connections we rely on. So how about changing the face of connection and getting online to meet new faces, old faces - and have a laugh at the same time?

Free ZOOM online Comedy Workshop with Maggie Come and join us...
Good Friday is 10th April; why not join Maggie for a comedy workshop with a difference? 8-9pm!
Creating comedy for camera is different. Maggie will guide you through the process as you develop your own material, in conversation with others with similar goals and aims.
It's safe. It's fun. It's edgy. And who knows what is going to happen :)
We're offering a taster stand up comedy workshop via Zoom; it's easy to use - just book via Eventbrite to reserve your place, send Maggie an email at magsirving@gmail.com - and we'll send you a link to join the meeting!
This is an exciting chance to see how it all works and we'd love to see as many of you as possible. With this in mind, a weekly online workshop is being organised - we will keep you updated.

The Good Good Bad rules of comedy can be an invaluable way to turn adversity and worry into something a little lighter; obviously we understand that life at the moment is not to be taken as a joke - and that is not the aim. This is an opportunity to flip those adversities and transcend difficult situations.
