Comedy Matters Present: Gifts!

Here at Comedy Matters we have been busy: Networking, scurrying - cooking up new ideas to bring a little (a lot) of joy to what has been a questionable 2020. And that means creating new classes, courses and workshops that offer dynamism, inclusivity - and always at their heart - community and laughter.

Maggie went online in March, but she is looking forward to getting out of virtual and into a real room – albeit socially distanced – but brought closer through comic connections and laughter – our social glue.

However, an avenue to extend beyond the boundaries of our small corners of this beautiful world has opened; exciting opportunity has arisen to get to know our global neighbours and embrace them through laughter, comedy and creativity. And that is why we have decided to keep going, online, as a community, which embraces each and every chance to spread smiles like butter on toast.

So here it is: Our launch for giving a gift this coming season - a voucher for a loved one who loves comedy, or something for yourself - a thoughtful present to raise spirits of someone special.

Join in with some serious clowning and comedy writing - let's flex those funny bones.

This three hour expressive and fun workshop looks at some of the tricks of the trade of creating comedy. We will play, clown a little and get physically creative prior to gaining your point of view on a number of topics. There is no pressure to be funny. You will be coached on the comic potential of your material and given top tips on developing your unique comic voice.
