For Port Eliot Festival goers in Cornwall, there is a stand up comedy class for over 18s. A little taster and a few tricks of the trade on how to write funny or be even funnier!
We will look at some of the tricks of the trade used to create comedy, and will tap into participants’ points of view on a number of topics. You will be guided on the comic potential of your material and given top tips on developing your unique comic
You will write a little, share your perspective and hopefully laugh out loud. You will try out of comedy techniques including repetition, the rule of three and exaggeration. This comedy workshop isn’t just for professionals; it is for anyone. It is a confidence and communication booster, which will encourage you to think outside the box and find the funny in anything and everything.
