About this Event

This 6 week comedy writing course (11 Sept 2019 - 16 Oct, 7-9pm) starts by concentrating on developing material and learning how to maximise its comic potential.

The sessions will focus on you building the confidence and pizazz to express your own point of view. Creating comedy is serious business and you will be encouraged to find the funny in everything and anything.

The class is suitable for both beginners and people who want to generate new material. You are given supportive critical feedback to help you edit and hone your writing and speaking skills.

We work on listening and developing a rapport with your audience and concentrate on several comedy techniques including the rule of three, repetition, exaggeration and the all-important pause....

Some people say stand up is daunting but in this class you are supported by the tutor and students. We all learn and laugh together.

Course starts Wednesday 11th September 2019 and ends October 23rd.
