Unlock Your Y.O.P(Your Online Potential) Hello and welcome to all!
Screen-time.
Don’t want to do it?
Don’t want to be on screen? Don’t particularly want to see a digital version of yourself?
Pre Covid, talking, teaching or socially engaging online, or talking to a camera was a novelty. But we are now immersed in a digital environment which has become our foremost point of human contact.
For comedy, performance, business et al, camera communication takes practice; lots of cringing; arm waving - but it can also create warm and memorable connections. Opening up and becoming vulnerable is also part of staring into a tiny camera mounted on black plastic. But this is your audience for the time being...
It’s all about engagement. But at the beginning it is about unlocking your Y.O.P (your online potential) and learning how we might manipulate the camera to best effect. Once this is faced, understood and embraced – it can be mastered so that people are invited to warm to you. Just as a novel needs to hook its reader within the first sentence, how YOU appear on screen must pull in your audience immediately: allow then to KNOW you and get them asking questions so that they STAY.
*** Maggie and Comedy Matters are always adapting to what YOU, our lovely friends supporters need, or have asked for. We listen. We love receiving your messages and so here we are with new workshops.
