Pain stops play - not rain.

It's been a very busy fortnight, with an equally busy 14 days,of 'Extra Time' to go.

I’m not a football fan, but football season is here. And when I was having a think about what I’d like to say, here, today – the only thing which came to mind was footie analogies – you know: Keeping an Eye on the Ball!

It turns out that getting grit under a contact lens whilst in the garden is a bit like being Offside, or A Game Changer – certainly was for me.

After a self-REFEREE visit to Exmouth's Minor Injuries Unit, I am unable to look at a screen let alone appear on one, to teach. Talk about Moving the Goalposts. Hopefully, I will be Back On the Ball in a few days…

Good job I have a magic fairy to help with things; someone who Knows the Score, especially when the Chips are Down.

(Had enough yet?)

I’m thinking back to this idea of work/play balance and how I always promise myself to find it, keep it and not lose it. Sometimes we need to step back and breathe when there are too many Balls in the Air.

It was only on Saturday – my birthday – that I almost looked at my marking workload. A terrible habit of needing to Be on the Ball 24/7 – I had to prise myself away from the screen – utterly ridiculous, but we all do it!

I ended up being with family; it was a wonderful day filled with fun games; champers on the beach; boat trips, and… taking Time Out. Memorable moments to rest and review... not a single slice of orange like I used to get in hockey at half time... but two glasses of bucks fizz slurped in the most glorious weather.

Get in the Back of the Net!

I have had a ball with my feminist clown classes and we will keep them going: Next one is the 28th June. It's a meet up once a month so do come along if curious...

I also have a BIG project coming up during the summer holidays and can’t wait to share it with you!

For anyone who fancies a live class drop me a line – have a Kick About with some ideas?

No Penalties is you can't join us, but if you do decide to at the Final Whistle we'd love to have you in the Team.

Sorry about the Cornea post, but my irritated eye was getting on my Optic Nerve!

(Okay - I will stop - unless you can add to this montage of twoddle ha...)

Have a super week and see some of you soon.

Cheers from Maggie and the Comedy Matters Fairies...
